This extension is a compilation of two of the better Smarty extensions for Dreamweaver. This version for Dreamweaver MX 2004 and higher (Dreamweaver 7+) will display templates with proper visual layout and provides the "Smarty Assistant" toolbar for easy visual access to common Smarty syntax. It differs from the older version in that it does not attempt to add a Smarty .tpl doctype since Dreamweaver MX 2004 and higher already have the .tpl doctype defined and trying to redefine it with a new default document always crashed my Dreamweaver install, so you just have to live with the default Smarty doctype. You'll never even notice it anyway.
